Mental Health media often shows the skills for change and lets people know it's ok to feel bad. The question is how bad, and how much pain can be tolerated. Young people today need more information that shows community and family leaders can tolerate and contain the worst of thoughts and help people process them without panic or overreaction.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this subject and I will aim to reflect the consensus over time on this website and in communications.
Reach out for support in generating discussions safely with young people and containing messages to give. I can be contacted to discuss group facilitation. Around having and containing difficult thoughts and emotions.
